The default printer submission command depends on the host’s spooler. BrightINSTALL may optionally integrate the BrightQ Print Job Manager with existing lp/lpr commands.
BrightQ PJM
Section titled “BrightQ PJM”pjm --no-gui -P office /path/to/file.pdfpjm --no-gui -P office -o PageSize=Tabloid /path/to/file.pdfpjm --no-gui -P office -o raw /path/to/file.psOn FreeBSD, use pjm for jobs that need BrightQ-Pro -o options so those options are processed by Print Job Manager. Do not rely on the native lp or lpr command to apply them.
System V and BSD commands
Section titled “System V and BSD commands”lp -d office -n3 /path/to/file.pdflpr -P office -#3 /path/to/file.pdfUse -o for supported generic or driver-specific filters. You may combine options, such as media type and page size, subject to what the driver supports.
Raw mode
Section titled “Raw mode”Raw jobs bypass filters and postprocessing. They are suitable only when the document is already in a format that the printer can understand.
pjm --no-gui -P office -o raw /path/to/print-ready-dataSee filter options for examples and PJM reference for other flags.
