Registration and licensing

Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.

Licensing for supported Canon devices is included with the Canon BrightQ-Pro package. You do not need to purchase a separate driver license for those devices. Install the appropriate Canon package and use its included drivers; see BrightQ-Pro for Canon for downloads and supported devices.

Other OEM distributions and separately supplied licenses may require activation or license import. Use the procedures below when your package requires them. The release 2.5 guide refers to license certificates, Codehost License Packages (.clp), and Codehost License Files (.clf).

  1. Open the License Manager from the Configuration Tool.
  2. Choose Online Registration if no account has been registered.
  3. Choose License Activation and enter the certificate information requested by the tool.
  4. Verify that the correct OEM package and drivers become available.

Online activation uses the Codehost licensing service. If the host cannot reach the service, use the offline license import procedure below.

Terminal window
codehost-license --activation
# Shorthand: codehost-license -a

The command prompts for your certificate and registration credentials. Use interactive entry when supported rather than passing passwords directly in command arguments.

If the host cannot contact the licensing server, generate or obtain a license package for that machine ID using the approved licensing procedure:

Terminal window
codehost-license --machineid
codehost-license --import /secure/path/license.clp

In the GUI, choose File → License Manager → Import and select the .clp file.

See the full license command reference.
